Election Day

Hi everyone. Today is Election Day. I went to the polling precinct early this morning, but even so I was already the 500th voter there! Wow!

Before I went to vote, I read about all of the candidates and looked at a sample ballot.

After I voted, I got this sticker:

Why do you think it is important for people to vote?

Hey Kyle! It's Justin again!
I am soo glad you went out and voted! I voted too and got a sticker just like that. To answer your question, I think it is important to vote because everyone should have a say in our country and who runs it. If people didn't care, who knows how our nation would function! I'm excited for more post!

P.S. thanks for the cathedrals!
Justin :)

Hi Justin,

Thanks so much for answering my question about voting. You gave a great answer, and it made me proud to have voted.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures of the cathedrals!

Dear Ashley,

Yes, I stayed up very late watching the election results on Tuesday night. It was exciting to watch the results come in from all over the country and see who the next President would be and what was happening in the state and local elections.

I don't know where or when my next trip will be, but stay tuned. Carlyle will be posting soon with details and photos from his trip to Baltimore, and Katie will be in the Dakotas soon. Her trip was delayed a bit because they are having a big blizzard.

More soon!
Kyle
